Pilot retention periods and deletion steps will be explained before consent, with shorter controls for optional media wherever feasible.
Application information that does not lead to participation should be reviewed and removed after the stated application period unless the applicant asks to remain informed.
Pilot records are retained only for delivery, safeguarding, evaluation and applicable legal obligations. The participant information will state the relevant period for profile data, communications, audit records and optional media.
A parent can request deletion or withdraw optional media consent by emailing info@britishtalentacademy.co.uk. BTA will explain what can be deleted, what must be retained temporarily and why.
Deletion should cover active systems and follow through to backups according to the documented backup lifecycle. Anonymised evaluation information may be retained only where it can no longer reasonably identify the child or family.
